Saint Vincent de Paul Society
Saint Vincent dePaul Society provides financial assistance to people living within our parish boundary who need our help with food, rent, or utilities. Our work is supported by the generosity of our fellow parishioners of Saint Peter church. We are always seeking new members to help us in our ministry.
The Key Word is Community
As most of us know, we have many neighbors near St. Peter that are homeless. In the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, we have developed relationships with many of them, providing for what needs we can to help them, whether it is toiletries, clothing, blankets, food, car repairs – as the Rule of the Society puts it, “No work of charity is foreign to the Society. It includes any form of help that alleviates suffering or deprivation and promotes human dignity ...”.
If you are interested in helping with St. Vincent de Paul Society food pantry, community dinners, answering phone messages, call 314-330-4702. Training will be provided where necessary. Donations to the food pantry may be dropped off in the Narthex of the chapel.
