Registrations due August 15th
FOR THE 2014-2015 SAINT PETER PARISH SCHOOL OF RELIGION, (PSR) SCHOOL YEAR.
CLASSES BEGIN August 25
PSR classes will begin on 8/25 with a prayer service at 7pm followed by an ice cream social. Parents and students are encouraged to attend and bring their favorite ice-cream topping to share with the group. Any family that still needs to register may pick up a registration form at the school office, the parish office, or contact Mrs. Rohman at trohman@stpstc.org for a registration.
PSR is offered to parish members only. Please contact the parish offices to register with the
parish.
Our Parish School of Religion (PSR) provides the students with a foundation in Catholic teachings and values. These include: Giving your child the gift of instruction in Sacramental Preparation: First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, and familiarization with the bible. PSR has caring teachers to provide moral and religious guidance.
Religion Classes are offered for students who attend Public Schools in Grades K - 8. Families need to be registered members of St. Peter Parish. Families must be practicing Catholics according to the Catholic Education Statement. Each family is to be involved in parish and PSR activities and functions. Religion Classes are offered for students who attend Public Schools in Grades K- 8.
***Students entering Grade 2 and the Sacramental Preparation for Reconciliation and Eucharist must have completed the 1st Grade in a formal Religious Education Program. Students entering Grade 8 and the Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation must have completed Grade 7 in a formal Religious Education Program. Registrations can be turned into the collection baskets at the weekend Masses.
Parish School of Religion Teachers
The Parish School of Religion is accepting applications to teach PSR. An ideal applicant would be a Catechist who lives the Gospel values, enjoys working with children, works cooperatively with others, and is willing to share their personal faith in Jesus and His Church. Some computer knowledge is needed.
Teachers are needed for Grades 1, 5 and 6.
