Deacon Dialogue: Divine Mercy--Advent Adult Faith Segment
Over the past few years, I have learned that doing an Adult Faith Series during Advent can be challenging because of all the busyness associated with the season. But this should not stop us from preparing our souls for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
This Advent we will offer a single Adult Faith Segment. The segment will be presented twice: once on Monday, December 12th at 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the St. Peter Cafe and repeated on Tuesday, December 13th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Adult Faith Room. It will be a way for us to prepare for our Advent Penance Service scheduled for Tuesday, December 13th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The purpose of this Adult Faith Segment is to help us to be properly prepared to receive the gift of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist on Christmas Day.
Here’s an overview of the Divine Mercy segment entitled Metanoia: A Journey With Christ Into Conversion. “In the Gospel of Mark, the first words of Jesus are an invitation to metanoia, to repent, to change, to be converted. With preaching from Fr. Dave Pivonka as well as personal testimonies from men and women, young and old, religious and lay, their stories will inspire you to seek to encounter Jesus and the new life he is constantly inviting us to.”
Handouts, light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Looking forward to seeing you there and feel free to invite a friend.
