Annual Catholic Appeal 2021, (Week 2) – THY WILL BE DONE
The Annual Catholic Appeal provides our Church with the opportunity to come together and share in God’s blessings. With your prayerful support, we can carry out God’s will to bring faith, hope and love to our brothers and sisters throughout the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Pope Francis tells us: “We must live the faith, not only with our words, but with our actions.” A gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal is one important way we as Catholics in the Archdiocese of St. Louis do live our faith, as we help to sustain the vital ministries and services for those most in need: the suffering, the sick and the vulnerable. Your gift to the Appeal supports ministries that promote:
Human Dignity and Social Responsibility: Catholic Charities; Respect Life and Social Responsibilities; Regina Cleri Priests Retirement Home; Hispanic Ministry; Peace and Justice Commission; Our Lady of Guadalupe Convent; Rural Parish Workers; Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Services; Criminal Justice Ministry; Office of Racial Harmony; Immigrant and Refugee Support; Parish Food Pantries; Archbishop’s Charity Fund; Peter and Paul Community Services, Shelter at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish.
Catholic Education: Elementary School Assistance; Archdiocesan High Schools (including Duchesne High School); Continuing Formation for Priests (for which I am most grateful); Special Education; Newman Centers on College Campuses; Parochial High Schools; Permanent Diaconate (so instrumental in the formation of our Deacons); Today and Tomorrow Educational Fund; and Right Start.
Missionary Discipleship: Care for Active and Retired Priests; Catholic Deaf Ministry; St. Charles Lwanga Center; Catholic St. Louis Magazine; Basilica of St. Louis, King of France; Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis; Catholic Renewal Center; Rural Parish Workers; Messengers of Peace Mission Work.
Culture of Leadership: Archdiocesan Seminary; Stewardship and Development Support for Parishes, Schools and Agencies; Vocation Programs; Evangelization and Discipleship; Natural Family Planning; ACA Urgent Needs Fund; Religious Formation; Catholic Youth Apostolate; Parish Emergency Assistance Fund; Elementary Teachers Education Fund; High School Stewardship Essay Program; Support for Religious Orders.
By this time, every registered household should have received a letter from me along with an ACA pledge card. Please prayerfully consider making a gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal by filling out the card, and return it to St. Peter Parish – by putting it in the collection basket at Mass, dropping it by the parish office, or mailing it back. No gift is too small. Every gift given in love helps to minister God’s love, mercy, and peace…THY WILL BE DONE. Learn more about how you can impact the lives of those in need at aca.archstl.org.
