“Come and See” What Catholics Believe–Adult Inquiry Sessions

Are you or someone you know interested in learning what Catholics believe?  On Sunday, September 12th at 10:00 a.m. we will begin the first in a series of video and discussion sessions designed for those interested in gaining an initial or better understanding of the Catholic faith.

The eight-week series includes answers to the questions: What do You Seek? Who are You? Why a God? What’s our Story? Who is Jesus? Am I Saved? Why A Church? Why Church Scandals?

The format for each one-hour session is “EAT—VIEW—DISCUSS.” We enjoy a light meal, followed by a 25-minute video and a discussion of the question of the day. If you are interested in attending the video inquiry sessions, please complete the form below and return it to the church office.

If you know of a family member, neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker who has expressed an interest in the Catholic faith, please pass this information on to them.

More About Our “Come & See” Discussion Sessions

For those interested in becoming Catholic or those desiring to learn more about the Catholic faith our Come & See What Catholics Believe–adult inquiry discussion sessions begin Sunday, Sept. 15th. (A registration form can be found below.)

To give you a better idea of what the Come & See discussion series involves, here are some key points:

 • We meet in the Adult Faith Room (1924 Building)  after the 9:00 a.m. Mass.

 • A light breakfast with refreshments is provided.

 • Our primary purpose is to answer any questions you may have about the Catholic faith.

 • Most discussion sessions last about an hour and include a video from the digital library FORMED.ORG      provided by St. Augustine Institute.

 • You can expect to be with people who were never brought up in any faith, people who were brought up in a different faith and are looking for more, and some Catholics who are looking to expand their knowledge of the faith.

 • Your commitment is week-to-week and you decide if you want to continue or not.

 • A Catholic Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and study materials are provided at no charge.

 • These are the topics we will cover in the first nine  sessions:

9/12:    Welcome & Introduction

9/19:    What Do You Seek?

9/26:    Who are You?

10/3:    Why a God?

10/10:  What’s Our Story?

10/17:  Who is Jesus?

10/24:  Am I Saved?

10/31:  Why a Church?

11/7:    Why Church Scandals?

Please feel free to contact me should you have any

questions: lboldt@stpstc.org or 636-946-6641 ext. 212.

Peace & Joy,

Deacon Larry
