PROGRESS REPORT FOR ALL THINGS NEW
Earlier this week, our All Things New (ATN) Leadership Team met to begin preparing the results of the Disciple-Maker Index Survey that will be shared with you within the next few weeks.
With a view of transparency, we look to provide both the good and the not so good news as we look to the future of our parish and the archdiocese as a whole.
Since your responses to the survey are a reflection of who we are as a parish today, the results of the survey will be organized around our 3-part parish mission statement that reads:
1. United in Faith: “Saint Peter parish is a people united in faith and sharing in the life of Christ.
2. Growing in the Spirit: “Influenced by our Catholic heritage, empowered by the liturgy and growing in the spirit of God, we are to be ministers of the Word of Christ and His work of Salvation.”
3. Signs of God’s Love: “We are to be signs of the Lord’s love, peace, justice, and mercy to one another and to the community in which we live.”
Your responses to the survey questions will be presented within each of the 3 categories: United in Faith, Growing in the Spirit, and Signs of God’s Love. We plan to provide a take-home handout of the results to all parishioners, along with posting the results on our parish website.
The contact information for the members of our ATN Parish Leadership Team will also be provided to answer any questions you may have regarding the results of the survey.
Next Steps: Looking toward the next steps of the process, in August there will be an online survey of two questions that the archdiocese has asked each parish to respond to. In the October/November timeframe, two Listening Sessions for our parishioners will be held on our parish campus. The purpose of the Listening Sessions is to receive your feedback on potential models developed by the archdiocese regarding the restructuring of parishes and schools within our planning area. Your participation in the listening sessions is strongly encouraged.
May the Peace & Joy of Christ be with you.
