Regional School Question and Answer Session this Sunday There will be a meeting this Sunday, February 5th for those parents/grandparents who have questions about our move to the Regional School next year.  Joanna Collins, the SESR principal, and myself will be available in the St. Peter School cafeteria immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Mass.  The purpose of the meeting is to answer any questions you may have about the school curriculum and registration this year, the St. Peter Tuition Grant program requirements, and any other concerns you may have.

Operation "Tootbrush"

Fr. Bauer announced the Operation Toothbrush initiative to collect new toothbrushes, toothpaste, travel size deodorant, sanitizer gel, soap and shampoo, chap stick and sun screen lipstick and deflated soccer balls for the people of San Marcos.  We will continue to collect these items up until the weekend of February 11/12.  From our last trip, we found the people of San Marcos to be very appreciative of these items.

ELC Open House Jan 29th

St. Peter Early Learning Center will be holding an open house on January 29 from 10-11am. Enrollment forms for the 2017/2018 school year will be available at this time.  Come see our creative classrooms and meet our certified teachers!  Teachers and support staff will be able to answer questions about our curriculum, daily schedules, and more.  We teach and care for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old.  Hope to see you there!

Shatter the Myths About Drugs and Alcohol The National Institute on Drugs Abuse (NIDA) has joined forces with the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) to shatter the myths about teen substance use.  NIDA and NIAAA are hosting a week-long National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week January 23-29, 2017. SRC Update The School Resolution Committee (SRC) met on Monday, November 21, 2016.  Based on recent information and discussions with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Robert Bellarmine, the SRC will be recommending to the Archbishop that St. Peter Catholic School be combined with the regional school located at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.  Additionally, our Finance Committee has approved grants to be given to those families who choose to remain in St. Peter parish and send their children to the regional school. Temper Temptation is a virtue-based weight management program which will also be starting in January.  This program is designed to help people who have historically had problems with weight learn new ways of approaching weight loss by moderating their desire for food.  We’ll incorporate contemporary weight reduction techniques and bring out the Catholic toolbox as well to learn some new skills as well.
